Privacy Policy

ChartHawk ("we", "our", "us") does not sell your data. This policy explains what we collect when you use charthawk.ai, who processes it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, and if you choose, a display name and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and profile photo from Google.
- Charts and questions. The chart images you upload, paste or drop, any links you give us, the questions you ask, and the analyses we return.
- Content from links. When you paste a link to an image or a web page, our server downloads that image, or the preview image the page provides, so it can be analyzed.
- Usage information. Which AI model you chose, and basic records of each analysis (such as time and cost) so we can run and improve the service.
- Analytics. Anonymous information about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed and the browser used.
- Feedback. Anything you send us through the feedback button.
How we use your data
- To analyze your charts and answer your follow-up questions.
- To save your history so you can revisit, rename, star or delete past analyses on any device.
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To understand how the site is used and fix problems.
- To send product updates, only if you opt in.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
AI model providers
Your chart image and questions are sent only to the AI company whose model you choose for that analysis. Each company processes them under its own terms and privacy policy.
| Company | Models offered in ChartHawk | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | Claude | anthropic.com/privacy |
| OpenAI | GPT | openai.com/policies/privacy-policy |
| Gemini | policies.google.com/privacy | |
| xAI | Grok | x.ai/legal/privacy-policy |
If you don't choose a model, ChartHawk uses its default model. Each answer is labelled with the model that produced it, so you always know which company processed that analysis.

Public charts and sharing
Your charts and analyses are private by default. When you choose Make Public, anyone with the link can see that chart and its analysis, and it may appear in the public ChartHawk gallery with a short summary. You can make it private again or delete it at any time.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your charts and analyses for as long as your account exists, so your history is there when you return. You can delete any individual analysis from your sidebar or dashboard at any time.
To delete your account and all associated data, request it through the feedback button. We will remove your data within 30 days.
